How To Edit Video Clips Inside Powerpoint With Windows Media Player
There's no reason to fear working with video in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Tom Bunzel, a presentation expert contributing to Presentations.com reports that "although this is a complex area of multimedia, improvements in digital-video capture and editing, as well as improvements in PowerPoint, make it easy to insert a video clip into a slideshow.
In other words, if you can insert an image into PowerPoint, you can insert a video clip."
Placing video in a PowerPoint presentation has become a relatively painless process, but there is more than one way to do it. Knowing the difference between inserting a MOVIE FROM FILE and inserting a MEDIA CLIP can be helpful.
As many know, inserting a video clip requires using the insert menu, then MOVIES AND SOUNDS » MOVIE FROM FILE.
But say you want to pull several clip segments from one video file, or you're planning to use a video clip that only needs trimming.
Rather than having to go into a video-editing application to create the video clips you need, you can trim video clips using the Windows Media Player from within PowerPoint.
Before I explain how to create a media-clip object, consider the following issues to decide whether this method works best for your presentation.
