How To Show Presentation Progress: Thermometer For PowerPoint

If you want to know and show how much of a presentation has been completed and how much is left, there is a freeware PowerPoint add-on especially created for this purpose.

This add-on is the Thermometer for PowerPoint and will make it easier for presenters to divide their time across slides. It will also make audience aware of the amount of time left for the presentation to complete.

This product works on Windows and Mac versions of PowerPoint.

Once you have installed the Thermometer for PowerPoint, a visual thermometer indicator can be added to anyone of your PowerPoint presentation to see the its progression while being shown.

Using Thermometer

Using Thermometer is easy: once installed, you will find a Thermometer toolbar within your PowerPoint interface.

If you cannot see the Thermometer toolbar, right click on any PowerPoint toolbar that is displayed and select Thermometer on the popup menu that will appear.

The Thermometer toolbar displays three icons:

  1. Add Thermometer: This adds and updates thermometers within a presentation.
  2. Remove Thermometer: This removes existing thermometers within a presentation.
  3. About Thermometer: Gives you more information about Thermometer for PowerPoint.
