Steps To Use The Pack And Go Wizard In Powerpoint
When you want to show a PowerPoint presentation on another computer, you can use the Pack and Go Wizard to put together all the files and fonts used in the presentation on a disc.
If you need to run your presentation on a computer which does not have PowerPoint installed, the Pack and Go Wizard will also package the PowerPoint Viewer on the disk. With this Pack and Go tool, you can also include linked files and TrueType fonts.
- Click on Pack and Go from the File Menu.
- Click Next on the starting window.
- Select the PowerPoint presentation you want to distribute with the Pack and Go Wizard and click Next.
- Choose destination (the destination is the disk drive or folder where you want to save such presentation) and click Next.
- Click Next on the Links window.
- Click on Download the Viewer on the Viewer Window, then click Next.
- Click Finish on the last window to confirm what you have done. Now the Pack and Go Wizard will compress your presentation to the destination folder/disk that you have indicated and will include in it the file you have specified and (if you have installed it on your machine) the PowerPoint viewer needed for your recipients to be able to see the PowerPoint presentation on their pcs.

You will now have two files: a .ppz file and a PNGSETUP file.

To unpack the presentation you have just packed and view it on another computer, do the following:
- Insert the disk where you copied your PowerPoint presentation.
- Double click on the Pngsetup file and select the destination to extract the file.
- Say yes when prompted.
- Say Yes to run the show automatically.
