How To Change The Default Font Of PowerPoint

QUESTION: Dear all,
the default font of my PowerPoint is Times New Roman.

Can you please tell me how to change the default font become Arial?
Thank you very much for your kind attention.
Best regards,

Edison

ANSWER: Dear Edison,

thanks for the question.

Please note that this applies if the version of PowerPoint is 2003:

To change the default design for new presentations:

When you click New on the Standard toolbar, Microsoft PowerPoint displays a new slide that uses a default ("blank") design. You can change this design so that it always includes certain elements, such as a logo or a type of background, font, or bullet.

  1. On the Standard toolbar, click New.

  2. On the View menu, point to Master, and then click Slide Master.

  3. On the Slide Master (Slide Master: the slide that stores information about the design template applied, including font styles, placeholder sizes and positions, background design, and color schemes.), make the changes that you want to be reflected in every new presentation.
  4. Slide_Master1.gif

  5. On the Slide Master View toolbar, click Close Master View.

  6. On the File menu, click Save As.

Note: In order for blank.pot to become the default, it must be saved to the default path in the Save As dialogue box.

In the Save as type box, select Design Template; in the File Name box, type blank, and then click Save.

Close the template.

Note: You must name the template "blank.pot" regardless of what language version of PowerPoint you have and which language is installed. Also, the variation "blank presentation.pot" will not work.
