How To Convert A PowerPoint Presentation To Video (Part Two)

Steps to convert the screen you have just captured into the desired video format file:

  1. Start Camtasia Studio 3

  2. Browse to your original just captured file.
  3. Click on the correct directory and Camtasia Studio 3 will show you a small icon representing the first frame of your video clip.
  4. Click and drag the small icon up to the "Storyboard" area.

  5. Click the "File" menu, choose "Produce Video As" and the Production Wizard will open.

  6. Choose what video format you would like to make (you can choose among .avi, .swf, .wmv, .mov and more) and Click OK.

  7. Click OK in the AVI Encoding Options wizard window.

    The options for AVI files, include color, frame rate and audio settings.

  8. Click "Video Compression Setup". This screen is very important for AVI files. If you choose the wrong codec probably other people will not be able to view your video file.

    Use the "TechSmith Screen Capture Codec" for the final quality. Click "OK"

  9. Click OK, when you are done, in the "Video Size" Wizard window, where you can choose among: Largest Video Size, Preset or standard video sizes, custom size.

  10. Click OK in the "Video Options" Wizard screen, after you have finished with the following options: Watermark, E-Learning and HTML.

  11. Click OK in the "Produce Video" last window of the Wizard, when you are finished with all the options.

Camtasia Studio 3 will convert your captured slideshow to the desired format.
