Compatibility Of PowerPoint Templates Between PCs And Macs
QUESTION: Dear Colleagues,
I am a Mac user and I would like to know if PowerPoint templates are compatible for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
Since I have to deliver my PowerPoint presentation on a PC, can I use my original template from my Mac?

ANSWER: Dear Rita,
thank you for your question, issues relating to Mac machines are always welcome!
Generally speaking we could say that PowerPoint templates are indeed compatible across different computer operating systems.
BUT:
- if the template uses a non-standard font, which could not show up on PC, the template will open, but the font will be
substituted by the closest alternative available.
- if the template contains a video clip, this could also create problems when displayed on a different computer platform.
Luckily, since most templates contain "standard fonts" and usually do not contain video clips, you should not find major obstacles in using your Mac templates on a PC and vice-versa.
