QUESTION: "I have a PowerPoint presentation that has 3 video clips - all work fine on PC (hard disk) - I am distributing a USB key with the PowerPoint presentation and therefore, anticipated that some people may wish to run the presentation directly from the USB key - so I opened the presentation directly from the key and re-inserted the video clips (wmv and avi) from the key itself.

They do not play and although I have specified that they should not show whilst not playing I get the infamous black screen where the video should appear.
Anyone and ideas please?
Thanks"
Andrew
ANSWER: "I would put the presentation and the video files together in a folder on your C drive. Maybe C:\Presentation or something.
Then I would delete the video from the presentation and reinsert it.
Then I would re-save the presentation.
Finally, I would copy the PowerPoint file and the video files to the USB drive.
If you're using PPT 2003, you can use Package for CD to resolve your links, package to folder, then move the contents of the folder to the USB.
I don't know how you can force the presentation to run from the USB automatically, though."
