Share Your Online Photo Album With Bubbleshare

BubbleShare is a new photo-sharing tool, which allows anyone to upload, share and publish her digital image album online at no cost whatsoever.

What makes BubbleShare unique is the simplicity of its operation as well as the additional ability to add 30 seconds of audio narration to any of the uploaded photos. The images uploaded can be also PowerPoint slides saved individually in any of the popular graphic file formats supported on the Web (like GIF, JPG, PNG).

Story-telling becomes much easier for everyone when sharing digital images and adding a good narration to them is made so easy.

Bubbleshare avoids even requiring a registration to start using it, making its adoption a true breeze.

BubbleShare allows you to upload as many digital images as you desire without placing any restrictions on the number and size of these. Bubbleshare also allows you to create as many "photo albums" as you want to.

In each "photo album" the administrator can arrange, add, and delete photos easily. Text can also be added to any image as well as audio captions.

To upload images to the Bubbleshare service it is possible to use either the Basic or the Enhanced uploader. The Basic Uploader is completely web-based and allows you to upload only one photo at a time. The Enhanced Uploader allows instead to add multiple photos by selecting an entire folder or by using the drag and drop feature. The Enhanced uploader requires Flash or ActiveX controls depending on the browser you use.

Bubbleshare makes uploaded photos available for one year. After that time the subscription process can be renewed. For now at least, all of it is completely free.

BubbleShare allows the creation of slide shows of your individual albums as well as providing rapid access to all the images in a thumbnail format. Both in the slideshow and thumbnail view modes the user can rearrange photos in any desired sequence.

BubbleShare slideview mode also permits the addition of text captions and comments below each individual photo. It is also possible to subscribe to an RSS comments feed and/or to automatic emails delivered to you when new comments are added.

To add audio captions to your photos Bubbleshare uses the ubiquitous Macromedia Flash technology to embed audio capture and recording abilities within the page. If you are recording an audio caption for the first time, a Macromedia Flash Player warning screen will appear, prompting you to click allow or deny the use of camera and microphone to perform the recording. After an audio clip for a specific photo has been added, it can be played, saved, or re-recorded any number of times.

Once a photo album has been created it can be publicly shared by clicking the Share Album button. With it you can specify a list of email addresses to whom to send a customized email message inviting the recipients to access the link of your Bubbleshare album.

I must say, that while on the Mac this is really quite great, on the PC a hook into a popular Windows-based image management tool like Picasa would be extremely useful.

Outside of that Bubbleshare is a free and easy-to-use album creation and mage sharing service that I would recommend to anyone.

BubbleShare is compatible all operating systems and with all major browsers including FireFox, Safari, Netscape, Mozilla, and Opera.

For Mac users, Bubbleshare provides a dedicated iPhoto plugin.
