The application is designed to help the sponsoring organization and its attendees meet, interact, plan and engage before the event starts. Attendees can meet each other before packing their bags through EventMingle. They meet based on sessions they're attending, living near each other, vendor interests and other factors.
Features:
- Internal email system
- Search features
- Job board
- Privacy
- The Daily Planner
- Message forums
- Online exhibitor directory
Attendees' backgrounds are available online through EventMingle along with a bio and photos. However, attendees and exhibitors can control how much info people can view.

Users can email each other through EventMingle, which cuts out spam and viruses. Users can set up their EventMingle accounts to notify them at their regular email accounts whenever there's a message waiting for them on the site. An email account has three folders: messages from attendees, messages from exhibitors and appointment requests. It's not unusual for an event to have recruiting activities. Attendees and exhibitors can post job openings and job seekers can post resumes (even anonymously).
The search tool can search for people by location, session, job title, exhibitor interest, message forum topics and more.

Events typically have planned sessions and speakers where attendees have to decide which to attend. After registering for the conference and joining EventMingle, attendees can view The Daily Planner — their schedule that includes appointments with exhibitors and sessions attending. Users can also add exhibitors to visit on their to-do list without making an appointment. You can also attach notes to to-do items and track the giveaways. You can print the Day Planner or send it to an email account, cell phone or PDA.
The message forums give attendees a way to talk in an open forum usually about topics related to the event. The forums could cover exhibitors, places to stay, sightseeing information and more. Exhibitors can post press releases using EventMingle, so attendees can access them from their hotel rooms, laptops and PDAs even during the event. EventMingle also sets up a station at the event so users can access information during the event.

Exhibitors can access free services that include an exhibitor description, press releases, giveaways, special activities, products, job openings and an appointment manager for meeting with attendees. EventMingle also comes with a vendor and services directory that lists local products and services such as restaurants, car services, sign makers and more.
Many events usually have "swags," which are t-shirts, hats, stress balls and other fun stuff. EventMingle includes a treasure hunt feature where exhibitors can post information on giveaways.
The information page explains the service for each role involved with an event including event producers, exhibitors and attendees. The conferences and trade show tools page is essentially a FAQ.
