Photo Slide Show converts digital photos and music to AVI format. The tool has over 25 transition effects including checkerboard, slide, stretch and fade. You can set the photo duration and the transition duration times.

All you have to do to create the slide show are three things: add photos, add music and convert it. If you want, you can change the transition and duration properties by clicking on the Hammer icon or right-click the item to change. Options lets you name the output file and choose where to put it. You can also change the resolution, video compressor and audio compressor. If you're not sure what to use, the default works fine.
For those who are familiar with compression and bitrate, the Options window has settings so you can modify them. The Help file warns that most audio compressors may not work well. They can crash the program. The program supports XviD or WMV9 and more, if you install their related codecs. The FAQ has more information.

You can also change the order of the pictures and songs by moving them up or down the list. The first picture appears first and the last picture is the last on the video. You can preview your work in progress anytime by clicking Preview.
