Online Slide Show Presenter Creates Visual Stories: Slide

Slide goes beyond simple photo storing and sharing as presenters can create a web-based, horizontally scrolling presentation and post the show on one of the popular social network sites or point people to their personal Slide page.

Since PowerPoint can export files as images, users can add them to Slide along with other images. Presenters can do more than just share images and add text to tell their stories. With the Slide bookmarklet, you can grab images, sound files or other media for enhancing the presentation, effortlessly.

Though Slide comes with a free download for creating your own slideshows and screen savers for your computer, the download isn't needed for creating or viewing web-based presentations.

Creating an online slide show, presentation or visual tour of any topis is rather simple and straightforward.

Once registered and logged in (ned only to place you desired username and password once, very fast), you can start uploading images that are on your local hard disk or that are available through Photobucket, MySpace, or that available online on any web page.

Slide contains tools to customize the show's transitions, speed, image size, text size and color. If you prefer, you can change slides to scroll vertically. Furthermore, you can add also images to eBay, MySpace and Flickr.

The slide slow created can be easily published to any web site or blog, by simply copying and pasting a kindly predefined code snippet into the destination page.

Slide's Email to Friends feature sends a link to friends and colleagues from within the application. They'll be able to view your Slide presentation without registering or downloading anything as the presentation relies on Flash. What's more, the viewer can watch the presentation at her own pace, speeding up or slowing down the show at her will.

Visitors can comment on your presentation and copy the code needed to link to your presentation from any web or blog page.

Professionals may not be comfortable with the comment page because of its informal style with phrases like "Gimme some love" and "You got love" in the comments section. However, you can get rid of those phrases by disabling comments.

Creating a badge lets viewers to stay up-to-date with your content. When you put a Slide Badge on your site, your content can be published to Slide Players everywhere.

Requirements

The application is a cross-platform and cross-browser application. Even the desktop-based application works with Windows and Macs. You just need a browser to use and view the web-based application and show.
