Stream Event Presentations With Video Effortlessly: CBox3 Is Here - Video Highlights

CBox3 is an all-in-one, state-of-the-art hardware/software solution aimed at the rapid deployment of presentations in the presentation and education sectors.

The CBox3 is a central hub that records, captures, encodes, streams, stores and publishes your presentations, combining video from multiple cameras and the output from the presentation software of your choice into a seamless whole. As you concentrate on delivering your presentation, lecture or sales pitch, CBox3 is storing and simultaneously broadcasting the contents at multiple bandwidths, so that you can reach the biggest possible audience.

Allowing presenters to deliver presentations to live audiences and via webcast simultaneously, and producing a finished product that can be published to CD or DVD, or accessed online or through an intranet, CBox3 aims to provide a total solution for educational and training institutions.

Furthermore, after the presentation, the text used within your slides is made searchable, so that viewers accessing it from the Internet, DVD or through an Intranet can rapidly zoom in on a part of the presentation of interest, using its powerful but easy-to-use search technology. If you can use Google, you can search through CBox3 presentations.

This ability to search through a potentially long presentation for key, salient points could be priceless for students wishing to review the notes they took in a live lecture, or for executives wishing to review the key features of a new product line.

In the latest edition of the Scoble Show, which you can view in full at Podtech.Net, Robert Scoble interviews Olivier Garbe, founder and CEO of Winnov, the CBox's creator, and asks him to demonstrate this versatile content recording and delivery device.

To whet your appetite, I have put together three minutes of highlights from the show, in which Olivier Garbe explains what CBox is, and how it could be of use in your institution or company.

This key searchability of content is perhaps one of CBox3's biggest selling points, but what sets it apart is the immediacy with which content can be both searched and published. As their site explains:

''The presentation is automatically indexed and organized in real time and the recorded file is searchable for any text including for text that is part of images. The synchronized full rich media content can instantly be viewed for any matches.
Text searches save a lot of time for those interested in specific areas knowledge.

Although post-processing is an option, CBox3 does not require it to generate high-value assets that can quickly be reused or repurposed. Considering today's agile business environment, immediate availability of a quality recording has much higher value than the deferred availability of a more polished piece.''

Effectively, as soon as a presentation or lecture has finished it is ready to be searched and explored. As all audio and video feeds into the CBox3 are synchronized, it is possible for the viewer to select any section of the presentation in realtime, effectively putting them in complete control of the content.

Essentially a studio in a very small box, Winnov claim that it does not require an AV specialist to operate the CBox3 interface, which is simple to use. Anyone from the presentation team - a colleague, a teaching assistant - should be able to take control of the system using its simple graphical user interface. To see a full demonstration of this interface in action, check out the Scoble Show's interview and demonstration.

With a price tag of $20, 000 the CBox3 is aimed squarely at educational institutions and larger companies, with the resources and audience figures to warrant its use. While this price tag is not to be taken lightly, the potential benefits for institutions tapping into the rich E-Learning market, and supplying searchable content to their incresingly demanding student body perhaps outweigh the initial outlay.

Cbox3 is available now from Winnov.
