Web Presentation Tools And Services For Visual Communication: The Best From Sharewood n°31
I have a mixed grab bag of web presentation and visual communication tools today, bringing you the best of the new breed of web applications changing how we work online. It is now possible to convert any number of file types for free, from an online application, edit and store pictures from your browser, and even preview and select design color schemes without ever having to boot up any program beyond your web browser of choice. Here are the details:

- Web-based file converter allows you to convert any file to almost any other format
- Java based image editor allows you to upload pictures from PC or URL and to edit them
- Web-based editor lets you edit your pictures online with many features and effects
- Color matching service enables you to create color schemes and to download them to your PC
- Zamzar

Zamzar is a service that allows conversion between a wide variety of different file formats. When converting more than one file, Zamzar gives you the option to download all your files in a compressed zipped format. Once downloaded you can unpack your compressed zip file that contains all your converted files. Generally this file is 25% smaller than downloading all your individual files. Zamzar currently stores converted files for a 24 hour period. Check out the conversion types. Free to use.

- ImageAuthor

ImageAuthor is an online Java image editor and processor that allows you to upload pictures from your PC or URL. It can display, edit, process, and save 32-bit color images including BMP, GIF, JPEG, and ICO files. It also supports animated GIF images. Because Java doesn't allow download of files, you must accept the signed applet in order to save files. Free

- Kuler

Kuler is a Flash-based color matching service that allows you to create or browse color schemes. After you select a color, Kuler automatically creates your color scheme, that you can download and save to your computer. It is free to use or, if you want to save a scheme, you will need an Adobe ID
