Make Yourself Quotable - The Key To Memorable Speaking: TJ Walker Video
Everyone would like to think of their speech or presentation being quotable, or even just memorable. But sometimes it's enough just to get from start to finish. So how can you bring the expression of your ideas to the next level?

In today's video tutorial from speaking expert TJ Walker of Speaking Channel TV, TJ talks through some of the key points that you can pay mind to if you want to make your ideas sticky.
The problem with a lot of speakers is that they tend towards the literal, backed up by copious quantities of the statistical, but neither are the most effective way to capture your audience's imagination, and lurk around there after your presentation is over.
Here are the details:
Among his key points TJ notes that memorable speech should: - Use analogy - figurative and metaphorical speech go a long way to making plain old facts and ideas stick
- Paint a vivid picture - let your words bring your ideas to life in a concise yet colorful way
- Express emotion - bring your ideas to life by imbuing them with a clear emotional resonance. Neutrality moves nobody
- Reference pop culture - help your ideas stand up by comparing them to pop culture images or icons, which already have resonance in your audience's minds
Becoming quotable, then, isn't about how much data you cram into your presentation, but about cutting through the facts with memorable ideas and images, brought to life by emotion.
